Get Creative - Part Deux

In my last post, I tasked you with this exercise, 'Describe a man watching a beautiful woman walk into a room. Then, get creative with it. Do it again. Make it better.'

Hopefully, you've had a chance to give it a shot. Here's what I came up with.

'Dimly lit and full of smoke, the room grew loud as people spoke. Her silhouette filled the door, I knew that I must see more.'

The beauty of song crafting is that there are many ways to say the same thing. Many ways to convey a moment or a feeling.

Why not try it again? Tap into your creative self.

  1. Time froze.
The warm Virginia air falls still along with Cherry blossoms in the park. The melodic chirping of the turtle doves slowly faded, like the ending to a memorable song.
His glare met her's and like the time he was frozen only able to move his eyes. He traced the lines of her face from the slight curve in her lips, to her cheek bones that reminding him of the hills of his home town San Francisco.

As she walked by the clouds parted and the sun shined only on her, creating a red carpet illusion. Her skin absorbed the sunlight and seemingly reflected it back in a golden ray of light.
The glimmer pulled him out of his trance and onto his feet, without his command his legs began to move towards the girl then suddenly he stopped. He soon gained control of himself and he starts to shrink inside himself.
He wasn't prepared for what happened next...

  2. As i turned around, you were standing there. Your perfect face had such a glare. Confused by what I felt inside,
could this be, could this be live at first site.

How I want you, gotta have you, don't know your name
How I need you, oh this feeling, is driving me insane.... oh it's way too deep...
How I want you, gotta have you, don't know your name
How I need you, oh this feeling, is driving me insane.... oh it's way, it's waaay too deep

It was his eyes that saw her but his heart that felt her presence nearing...The beats were so loud the jungles could hear them... His hands held moisture as If he poured drinks from the oceans and from that moment he could never let her go... but she... she doesn't belong... to me

How I want you, gotta have you, don't know your name
How I need you, wanna please you... driving me insane.... oh it's way too deep

  3. I saw thru her dress she didn't seem to mind.
Seems so natural to her as if it wasn't on
Wish I had something to say to catch her eye
My hesitation caused her to slip away in the night.

  4. You catch my eyes From across the room, I can help but notice you noticing me too, I’m breathless, nervous & so confused, but I cannot show this to you, So we play our games & act like there’s nothing happening here,
But you too know as well as I do, I’ll be leaving with you__ tonight & we will have the time of our lives, So poor some whisk & wine & have A few drinks more_ we both know where the night is going , We’ve been....
& fuck the past it is no longer, all that matters is where we are going, & as my eyes catch yours there’s no need for words, because you’re eyes say everything, that you’re lips are holding back from me, & I can’t read through your million dollar smile, but it tells me all I need to know, you are an angel, You are..
